The church has lost her place of leadership in this world because she has practiced a policy that was exclusive and ingrown. Too often the church has allowed her vision to be limited to those who were already a part of her community life. Whenever the church has been vital and alive, she has practiced evangelism and missions to all parts of the world.

When every Christian recognizes that he has a personal responsibility to all men, the church will fulfill her mission in the age. We dare not let ourselves be limited by national boundaries or by racial distinctions. We must give ourselves to the never ending work of spreading the gospel to all nations and to all peoples. This is the mission that God has given to the church and she can never escape that obligation.
